  • Property Placeholder

    Hi Everyone-

I have a question as to if its possible to override the functionality of property-placeholder.

Our current model was able to use property-placeholder out of the box and has worked great. We are able to externalize our username/passwords to a centralized property file located outside of the web app.

Our model is now changing to use an API, that when invoked, will return back to us the username/password. I am curious if it is possible to override the standard behavior of property placeholder to achieve this? If not, does there exist a different solution?

Thanks ahead of time for reading!

When you have setup <contextroperty-placeholder> tag will internal setup Spring specific bean.
      That is: org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyP laceholderConfigurer
The PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer is an implementation of BeanFactoryPostProcessor interface.
If you want a different behavior, you can write your own class that implements BeanFactoryPostProcessor interface and register your implementation as a bean in Spring Application Context file/java. This will replace the <property-placeholder> behavior.
      Hope this helps.
