  • Deleting unneeded jobs from a Quartz JDBC JobStore - best practice?

What is the best way to delete an unused trigger and job from our Quartz JDBC JobStore? We have an app deployed to a Tomcat cluster and jobs which are no longer wanted have accumulated in the JobStore.

Because the Jobstore is persistent, restarting the server does not delete the old jobs. Quartz recommends NOT EDITING THE TABLES BY HAND http://quartz-scheduler.org/document...best-practices (I'm sure everyone already knows that).

So what is the correct way to do this? I can think of only two: Write a separate one-off application to run and execute "scheduler.deleteJob()" or add another SpringBean to our existing app to do the same thing. Anybody got any better ideas?
