  • Error Spring 2.0.8 with CXF 2.3.4

    Greetings!

We're struggling to upgrade CXF framework from version 2.2.6 to 2.3.4.

Unfortunately, during the deploy into WAS 6.1, we face the following error:
    Code:
ERROR [server.startup : 1] (ContextLoader.java:204) - Context initialization failed org.springframework.beans.factory.parsing.BeanDefinitionParsingException: Configuration problem: Unable to locate Spring NamespaceHandler for XML schema namespace [http://cxf.apache.org/jaxws]
Offending resource: class path resource [application-context.xml]
So, the error is quite obvious, but anyone knows how to work around?
    thanks in advance!

    --Edit: Our application-context beans schemas:
    Code:
    <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
    	xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    	xmlns:jaxws="http://cxf.apache.org/jaxws"
    	xmlns:jee="http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee"
    	xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx"
    	xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee http://www.springframework.org/schem...spring-jee.xsd

Be sure you have in your classpath the jar about CXF or the CXF maven depedency

      sorted out...

Thanks for you reply, but there was not the case... the app was up and running with CXF 2.2.6.

Anyway, we got the problem sorted simply adding the jsr181-api.jar the "lib/endorsed" IBM JDK folder, uninstall the application, then install it again into WAS, that made the trick.

No idea why it was crashing the application...
      Thanks anyway

By the way, CXF 2.3.4 does not really supports Spring 2.0.8.
