  • JobInterruptException in step but job returns complete status

    Dave,

    We have a job configured..

    <job id="transJob">
    <step id="loadTransStg" parent="transStgLoad" next="delTransDelta"/>
    <step id="delTransDelta" parent="deleteDeltaTrans" next="distTrans"/>
    <step id="distTrans" parent="transDistId"/>
    <listeners>
    <listener ref="jobListener"/>
    </listeners>
    </job>

    The step has a deadlock on BATCH_STEP_EXECUTION and throws a JobInterruptedException.. and the step STATUS=UNKNOWN and EXIT_CODE=STOPPED..

    The expectation is that the job should stop and return status as FAILURE but instead the other steps get executed and the job returns with COMPLETED status.
    (log attached)

    Am I missing something here?

    Thanks,

    ps- this is continuation of previous thread http://forum.springsource.org/showthread.php?t=86587

    That looks very odd. It is actually the exit status that drives the step flow, so maybe STOPPED is not counted as a failure - if you add an explicit <fail on="STOPPED"/> does it fail was expected. Who stopped the step (looks like a thread interrupted, or was it your interceptor)?
