  • Defined job gives "Referenced bean is invalid" error

    Guys,

    Currently I'm building my first Spring Batch project. We need to do some parallel processing so I want to use partitioning. Currently I configured all stuff necessary to give it a testrun.... But: I'm getting a referenced bean is invalid error...

    This is my code:
    Code:
    <batch:job id="Conversion">
    		<batch:step id="completeConversion.master">
            	<batch:partition step="completeConversion" partitioner="partitioner">
            		<batch:handler grid-size="5" task-executor="taskExecutor" />
            	</batch:partition>
            </batch:step>
        </batch:job>
    Everything is valid but I'm getting the referenced bean is invalid error on completeConversion.master... If I look at the samples packaged with the distribution I don't need to define this one.... Or I'm missing something.

    I use STS2.3.0, Spring Core 3.0 and Spring Batch 2.1 ...

    Thanks for the help!

    Minze

    well your completeConversion.master definition is wrong. First off, there's not even a close tag for it.

    Have a look to spring-batch-samples, there's an example using the partitioning. This might help you.

      Sorry, it works just fine. It seems to be a bug in STS. I'll report a bug for it.
