  • Performance while process high volume of data

    Hi ,

I am new to the Springbatch. Can anyone tell me how much data it can process without performance degradation. What are the benefits of springbatch over core java(using IO) in batch file process?

    Thanks
    Prakash

Spring Batch does not set out to enhance any existing features of Java IO. You won't get any extra performance over raw IO (how could we do that?). So I'm not sure if I understand the question. Can you clarify a bit, what it is you need to do?

      Hi ,

Thx for your quick reply. I want to know how much volume of data it will process at a time (Some billions of records)

      thanks,

There are no limits that I am aware of on the volume of data that you can process. If you push the commit interval fairly high, you can probably get close to raw Java IO performance. Apart from that, with such generic requirements, I can't really say much more.
