  • Parse/reading a file/extract

    Hello,

I'm am fairly new to Spring Batch. I've successfully implemented my job to parse multiple extracts using MultiResourcePartitioner. Some things I haven't been able to figure out and am looking for help with:
    1. How to only parse/read an extract when a associated trigger file is present. So if I have an extract, myextract.csv, I will only parse/read it when a trigger, myextract.csv.jb, is present.
    2. How to only parse/read an extract that is not in-process or completed. I'm assuming I will have to use JobExplorer to figure this out.

    Thanks,
    Fred

thats more suited for the job controller middleware, but you could just use a TaskletStep which runs right before the "real" steps, it would check for the trigger file and if not present it would end the job (see conditional flows with exit status)
