  • Problem in building from source

    Hi, I have tried to build spring batch from source using the instruction given here: http://static.springsource.org/sprin.../building.html

    But whenever I run mvn install -P bootstrap I got the following error from maven:

    Code:
    [ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-antrun-plugin:1.3:run (generate-sql) on project spring-batch-core: Execution generate-sql of goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-antrun-plugin:1.3:run failed: Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-antrun-plugin:1.3 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Could not find artifact foundrylogic.vpp:vpp:jar:2.2.1 in apache-snapshots (http://people.apache.org/maven-snapshot-repository/) -> [Help 1]
    I have tried running this after cleaning my existing maven repo, but I got the same result. I have seen similar problem in another post in this forum.

    Issue Resolved workaround mentioned.

    Hi,

    I strongly can't accept that something that works in maven 2.x won't work in 3.
    I resolved the issue by adding the following.

    <pluginRepository>
    <id>plugin.repo.maven.central2</id>
    <url>http://objectstyle.org/maven2/</url>
    <snapshots>
    <enabled>false</enabled>
    </snapshots>
    </pluginRepository>

    if it still doesn't work, add

    <repository>
    <id>objectstyle</id>
    <name>objectstyle</name>
    <url>http://objectstyle.org/maven2/</url>
    <releases>
    <enabled>true</enabled>
    </releases>
    <snapshots>
    <enabled>false</enabled>
    </snapshots>
    </repository>

    <mirror>
    <id>objectstyle</id>
    <name>objectstyle</name>
    <url>http://objectstyle.org/maven2/</url>
    <mirrorOf>repo2</mirrorOf>
    </mirror>

    It will definitely work now, hopefully, if the site is not down..
