  • Subproject's Bean Context file is not loading

    Hello to all,

    Before I begin, please don't shoot me cause this is such a lame question....

    Let me explain what is happening.....
    My Java project is using a dependent Java project. This dependent project is using AOP. When I run my testng testcase. I am loading the Spring Bean Context Files. The parent project's context files are loading properly. When the child project's main Spring Context file is loading, it fails because it can not load the AOP context file. This is the first context within the main context file.

    This is the error I am getting:

    Code:
    Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.parsing.BeanDefinitionParsingException: Configuration problem: Unable to locate Spring NamespaceHandler for XML schema namespace [http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop]
       [testng] Offending resource: class path resource [com/<mycompany>/<myproduct>/<mytool>/<my action>/aspect/applicationContext-aspect.xml
    This is what I have for the schema definition in the file:

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
           xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
           xmlns:aop="http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop"
           xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx"
           xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.5.xsd
           http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx/spring-tx-2.5.xsd
           http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-2.5.xsd"
           default-autowire="byName">

        <aop:aspectj-autoproxy/>

        ....

    </beans>

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on how to go about clearing this error or what I should check....

    Thanks for taking the time to read my post and for allowing me to ask such a lame question.....
