  • Exception when trying to add logging Advice..

    I initially logged this in the Web Services forum, but had little response so I wanted to check it with the AOP folks if this is a silly mistake on my part.

    http://forum.springframework.org/showthread.php?t=54665

    I also found and posted on this thread, which seemed to be similar use of aspects and the same exception.
    http://forum.springframework.org/showthread.php?t=50284

    Here's my advice bean definition:
    Code:
    <aop:aspectj-autoproxy />
    		<bean id="loggingAdvise" class="com.arccorp.aspects.LoggingAspect">
    		</bean>
    An here is the exception I'm getting:
    Code:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: object is not an instance of declaring class

    I'd really like to be able to use this logging advice which seems to work in spring MVC, Webflow, etc.. but not for my Web Services.

    Thank you for any help you can provide,
