  • Modularized (Pluginable) Web Application with AOP?

    Hi,

I tought of writing this here because I think it is the closest thing in springframework to what I have in mind. I found the following text in the book I am reading at the moment (about springframework) :

"Spring’s AOP support is important, not only because it enables you to modularize application concerns, but also because it is the basis for Spring’s support for declarative transactions..."

As I said before (no i did not give up hope, just was too busy at work) I am planning to make a website using springframework. Now I want my website to be made of different modules (ex: Main, Forum, Shopping Cart, News, etc).

The 'Main' module would contain all the other modules. That is while keeping the header and footer the same through out the whole website, the middle part can be loaded from one place (ex: Forum module) or another (ex: shopping cart module).

    Is that possible with springframework?

    regards,
