  • Spring Framework 2.0.5 released

(2007/5/8) - We're pleased to announce that Spring Framework 2.0.5 has been released. Here is Juergen's original announcement:

    --

    Dear Spring Community,

We are pleased to announce that Spring 2.0.5 has been released. This is is a bugfix and enhancement release in the Spring 2.0 series, addressing all issues reported since 2.0.4 and introducing further concurrency improvements. We recommend to upgrade to Spring 2.0.5 from all previous 2.0.x releases.

Please see the changelog and JIRA roadmap for all the details of the 63 issues addressed in this release.

    Premature SourceForge RSS announcements?

I note that the SourceForge RSS feed for Spring releases has been listing the release of 2.0.6 since May 31st, even though the download section doesn't list it, and springframework.org doesn't list it.

    http://sourceforge.net/export/rss2_p...group_id=73357

This happened with 2.0.5 as well - the RSS announcement appeared some time before the actual release.

On May 31st Spring 2.1 M2 was released. In the announcement a 2.0.6 snapshot release is mentioned:

FYI, we have also released a 2.0.6 snapshot, containing backported fixes from 2.1 M2. Please give this snapshot a try as a drop-in replacement for 2.0.5! The official 2.0.6 release is scheduled for June 15th.
That's probably the reason for this news entry. The release (also mentioned in that news) is scheduled for June 15th though as quoted above.
