  • Converting a web application to spring surf

    Hi..
I am new to spring surf. I am using alfresco 3.3g which uses spring surf framework...and I have a basic question regarding spring surf..

That is, consider I am having some html files in a website. Now I planned to add some new webscripts to that website to have forums, blog etc.

But how to include such spring surf components to an existing website?? That is how to add such webscripts to a normal website which is not of spring surf platform?

Using http://www.springsurf.org/sites/1.0....tml/index.html, it is easy to develop a spring surf site from initial stage. But how to update an existing website to spring surf to add such webscripts?

Any links or suggestions?? Kindly reply....
    Thanks in advance....

You can just have Apache HTTPD server your html files. You can forward only requests to the forums and blogs to Tomcat / Surf App.

Alternatively, you could get Tomcat to server your HTML files. You'll need to configure Surf Controller not to try and server the static files. You can configure this in the urlrewrite.xml file.
