  • Incremental application context xml loading?

    In my application, I have the following code:

    applicationContext.addEmbeddedConfig(configXML1);
    applicationContext.load();

    ....

    applicationContext.addEmbeddedConfig(configXML2);
    applicationContext.load();

    Then, the commands in configXML1 and configXML2 are registered for twice for the same event type.

    Is incremental application context loading possible? -- That is, when configXML2 is added, I want the objects in ConfigXML1 unaffected.

    Hi,

    incremental loading of a context is not supported by design, but it might well be possible with some slight changes. Can you describe your use case a bit so we can see if we can come up with a generic solution? I can imagine that there will be some tricky parts when doing this.

    As a workaround, is it an option for you to load the second content in another application context?

    regards,
    Christophe

      addendum

      And to complement what Christophe was suggesting, you can chain contexts in a aprent/child relation. Check this doc section for details:
