Session Seven: Beating the Command Framework into Submission is up at http://pa.rsons.org/node/17.

Bit of a delay with this one; got distracted by "real work". Annoying, huh.

        Master/Detail Tutorial

        Hi,

i think the better place for my written tutorial
        http://pa.rsons.org/node/21

about the master/detail component would be on the http://spring-rich-c.sourceforge.net...userGuide.html or arcticle site. What do you think?

The pdf tutorial about master/detail looks interesting.
Larry already wrote a big tutorial on the wiki too.

Maybe we can merge both into an apt with png files so we can put it in the user guide on the site?
Why apt files? Because then they would fit into the generated site:
          - site menu on the left
          - entire site can be pdf'ed
          - the docs would be in subversion and well-formed patches can be supplied to improve them
          - apt writes very fast

I've already sent it to larry, but no reply. A good idea to merge these two tutorials. Perhaps we could enhance the simple sample of larry with the master/detail component and then customize this tutorial on this sample.

what do you think larry and ge0ffrey?

On this I also want to ask, how to become a member of the Spring RCP project/team? I'm very interested to support the project in form of articles, tutorials, coding and the like. I think the documentation and small code examples of how to use some features of the framework are one of the most important things, wheter a developer choose a framework or not.

            see you

              Hi Markus,

I'm happy to host this for you if you like, or remove it from the site if you prefer - if you want a change, just say the word.

              Regards
              Chris

Sorry about not replying to your earlier private message Markus, life has been a touch crazy lately.

I initially didn't use the master/detail forms in the simple sample because they are in the sandbox and I wanted to focus on the main components of the framework. But, given a little bit of time, I want to move them to the core, so it might be reasonable to add their use to the sample application.

                Larry.
