  • RmiServiceExporter - Spring Security Exceptions

    I have a service layer exported using Spring Remoting RMI. Service layer methods are secured using method-level security. When a remote client invokes a service method, the security execptions (e.g. AccessDeniedException) get propagated correctly to the client.

    The RmiServiceExporter is logging exceptions and I do not want to see them. I don't need to be logging the whole stack trace just because a client didn't have the right permissions.

    Is there any way to control the way these exceptions are logged?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

    You need to change the log4j level for RmiBasedExporter:

    Code:
    log4j.category.org.springframework.remoting.rmi.RmiServiceExporter=OFF
    or perhaps:

    Code:
    log4j.category.org.springframework.remoting=OFF
