  • Spring Remoting Newbie questions:

I'm evaluating Spring Remoting for use at work. The server component will reside within an App Server (likely JBoss AS) and the client elsewhere interfacing with a Swing / RCP GUI. Being GUI driven, I'd like some info on the following:

1a. Does it currently support async messaging? From my readings, I understand that this used to be Lingo's "claim to fame" but since we haven't seen a new release of Lingo for a couple of years, I'd like to know if Spring Remoting now supports this.
1b. In the same vein, I'm assuming that if possible, Spring Remoting's async messaging will necessiate the use of JMS (and not via HttpInvoker)? Is this an accurate statement?

    2. Likewise, does Spring Remoting support server callbacks?

    Thanks much in advance.
