  • Simple Question

    Hi everybody,

this might be a kind of dump question (or maybe it has been discussed already several times -so my apologies in advance ;-))

One of the guiding principles in Spring (and not only Spring) is to program against interfaces and not classes.
Still in the reference manual and in literature like 'Spring in Action 2. edition' the authors always use the JmsTemplate class instead of its interface JmsOperations. Is this a design flaw or done by purpose. if the second case holds true can anyone explain to me ?
BTW, I see this '(anti?) pattern' also in the JbdcTemplate. So, I propably should have posted in a more general forum.

    Many thanks,
