  • why doesn't CommonsHttpInvokerRequestExecutor provide http get requests

    Hi There,

The title says it all but I'll re-iterate. Why does the commonsHttpInvokerRequestExecutor provide he ability to send http post requests but not get requests?

I can't believe it is that difficult, especially as it uses HttpClient 3.0 under the covers. Having used HttpClient 3.0 myself to create a utility class that sends both get/post requests I find it strange that this has been ommitted, unless I am missing some glaring point (which could be the case).

Does anyone have any views, reasons etc for this ommission??

I have a requirement for to send both get and post requests, currently it uses my utility class but I'd prefer to use spring as it is probably better designed and more reusable than my own implementation.

This message kind of follows on from my other post http://forum.springframework.org/sho...411#post120411

and probably repeats itself a little but I am trying to make my problem a bit more specific.
