official FAQ, SpringSource states quite clearly that:
Currently the only path that leads to the official Spring Certification is the training path. Students need to attend a Core Spring, Rich Web Applications with Spring or Enterprise Integration with Spring Training before they can become certified. There is no other path that leads to certification at this moment.I was not aware of this change. And it's a real shame. I would never have gotten certified had this certification policy been in place a year ago. It is this kind of policy that sticks the "elitist" label onto Spring Framework.
