  • How to get sources for Grails dependencies

I am new to Grails and want to use Grails dependency management. I am fine using the default integration with Ivy (most our other projects use maven), but I am wondering when I declare dependencies in the BuildConfig.groovy file, how I indicate that I want the sources (and/or javadocs for that matter) downloaded as well? My IDE is Intellij Idea 9 and I am using Grails 1.3.4. I have search the documentation and web, and can't find a definitive answer here. If I have to, I can switch to Grails maven support, but hope that this shall work.

    Thanks in advance.

It doesn't seem possible. I guess one could write a plugin to do this, similar to the sources plugin for Maven.

Anyway, it seems that Grails doesn't honour the classifier for dependency declarations so I raised a JIRA issue for the problem.

OK, thanks. I found where this question was raised before but couldn't get a definitive answer. Thanks for adding the issue in Jira.
