  • StandardPortletEnvironment and ConfigurableWebEnvironment

    Hi,

I'm trying to create Grails Portlets, but this doesn't work with the recent Spring versions. The reason seems to be that Grails needs ConfigurableWebEnvironment as Environment class, whereas the StandardPortletEnvironment class only implements ConfigurableEnvironment (and not ConfigurableWebEnvironment).

So I'd like to know some things :
    • Why StandardPortletEnvironment does not implement ConfigurableWebEnvironment (as Portlet is web-based) ?
    • Is it legitimate that Grails only accepts ConfigurableWebEnvironment classes for Web Environments (seems obvious, but looking at my first question, this might not be that simple).
Thanks per advance for your answers.
    Regards,

    Alex.
