  • Using SLSB across Multiple Virtual Machines

We currently have 6 applications running in separate containers using OC4J 10.1.2, it is 1 box but each has its own instance of the VM. Our previous applications were using SLSB to perform remote interaction with the other apps. We are introducing Spring in our latest expansion and I am pondering how we are going to interact between all the other VM's. I know Spring offers a variety of RemoteEJB interfaces for us to use but I'm still unclear on how this can take place on separate VM's when the VM's are totally Spring unaware. I guess what it comes down to is I'm looking for a jumping off point in my endeavor.

    Thanks in advance,
    Charles

Well, a VM is a process and every remoting technology is intended to allow inter-process communication. So you should have no problem to choose one of Spring's remoting options of your liking. See here for a starting point.

    Hope that helps,
    Andreas
