  • Roberto Perez Alcolea - Groovy/Grails Champion

My name is Roberto Perez Alcolea and I'm from Mexico.

I started working with Grails in 2010 and since then i work with it everyday. Now I'm working in a company with some projects in Grails and I'm the go-to Grails person at my company and regularly teach my colleagues about the framework.

I also have experience training developers inside and outside my organization... few weeks ago i finished a Groovy/Grails campus in Mexico City (http://campus.vincoorbis.com/). Plus to this, i taught Groovy/Grails in a master degree (Software Engineering) in Puebla,Mexico (Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla).

Another important stuff is that i help with Grails48 Hackathon in different ways:
    • looking for mentors in Mexico
    • organizing the mexican location
    • Building the hackathon site (Grails of course)

I also try to contribute to the community by:
    • Publishing a small plugin: recaptcha-spring-security - a plugin for brute force defender using spring security + recaptcha (http://grails.org/plugin/recaptcha-spring-security)
    • Answering questions in stackoverflow
    • Telling other developers how cool is Grails

As you can see, I've used Grails everyday for a few years and I'm always trying to help other people to learn it and of course, I'm a big enthusiast of using the framework. I really want to be part of spring2gxone for leaning new stuff and improve mi skills.
Working...
