  • How to access the underlying Equinox shell?

The following JIRA mentions a "Equinox telnet console" (as opposed to the dm Server shell): https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/DMS-2045

Is this something that we can access?

Yes, you can. Add an entry to the com.springsource.kernel.region.properties file in the config directory in the form osgi.console=nnnn, where nnnn is the port number on which you want the console to be available. Note that this enables the console directly in Equinox and as such you won't receive any messages at startup from dm Server indicating that the console's enabled.
