I'm not sure what PAR's might have existed in the past, but at this point SpringSource has not released any plugins for any build system with respect to PARs. We do plan on doing that, but it will be in the future. Remember that a PAR is a JAR of JARs so you might be able to create this plugin pretty easily on your own.
Also, what are you using for your manifest? Are you using the felix plugin like described in the DM-Modules documentation or are you using something like the DM sample which just specifies the MANIFEST.MF file?
The plugin area of a pom would look like:
<applicationDescription>The db infrastructure</applicationDescription>
<applicationName>Application DB infrastructure</applicationName>
For us there is no reason to use the felix plugin. We create the manifest from the configuration settings. The plugin works fine so far. I will verify it for a couple of days and upload it in conjuction with a small howto.
