Spring Modules forum decommissioned in favor of Spring Extensions

As the Spring Modules project has been replaced by the Spring Extensions (http://www.springsource.org/extensions) project, this forum has been decommissioned in favour of Spring Extensions one at:
http://forum.springsource.org/forumdisplay.php?f=44

Please see the Spring Extensions home page for a complete list of current projects in Java, .NET and ActionScript. You can also propose one if you want.

  • Explanation: Invalid chunk ignored

This error gave me a problem and I spent some time trying to figure out what it was before I was successful. So to save people time here it is.

When you call 'XT.doAjaxAction' it looks at the form and passes all of the elements along with the request. In doing this, if you don't have a name for all of the fields it will create a query string similar to this:

    Code:
    eName1=&=&eName2=val
The important part to note about this is the '&=&' or '&=someValue&'. This causes the following error.

    Code:
    Feb 14, 2008 9:45:12 AM org.apache.tomcat.util.http.Parameters ProcessParameters

    WARNING: Parameters: Invalid chunk ignored.
This does not actually stop any processing of the action. It just shows the warning. If you don't want to see the error message be sure to add a value for the 'name' parameter for all of your form elements.

      Thanks

      Also,
i have a request url like:
      action.htm?&name1=e&name2=e2

"?&" will also make this chunk ignored warning..

Thank you very much for the timely help....

Then also I am getting this worning and I am unable to view view my data.

        Code:
        Mar 1, 2010 11:52:36 AM org.apache.tomcat.util.http.Parameters processParameters

            Invalid chunk ignored

No, I am not getting any other error. Sometimes it fails while processing the request.
