  • Commons Validator page

    from the docs, chapter 17.1 Commons Validator and 17.1.5, Partial Bean Validation Support, i learned that spring modules validation can handle partial bean validation.

    my question is how do i specify a field that should be validated in multiple pages?
    for example
    i have

    id, name, address

    in registration all is required
    in update profile only name and address is required

    so page="0" would be [id, name, address]

    page="1" would be [name, address]

    Any resolution to this question? Is it possible to configure an attribute for multiple pages?

    • #3
      yeah. using the page="x" attribute

      • #4
        To clarify, what is the configuration syntax?

        the sample validation.xml shows:

        <form name="personDataWizard">
        <field property="firstName" depends="required" page="0">
        <arg0 key=""/>
        <field property="lastName" depends="required" page="0">
        <arg0 key=""/>

        How would I configure page "1" to firstName, if it is required for both page 0 and page 1.
